Are there any master installers on this site. Or has anyone ever worked for a master installer, or are they all working for the big companies.

Master Installer ?? Kinda of like the Uber of all installer's ? Don't believe that someone would be good at ALL types of installations to the point that he/she would be considered a Master Installer............... but to answer your question, I don't know of any on this site aside from Gary Any Master Installers -- posted image.

I think he means Master Level MECP.  No, I got my First Class Certification- test was required at Ultimate, but there was really no need for it.  It didn't do me any good or anything- I didn't know any more than I did before, nor did I get paid anymore.  I've found that most installers will let their certs expire because they don't see a need for them unless they are required by the company they work for.

I honestly think it'll only help you if you work at Best Buy, where your pay automatically goes up as you achieve the various levels.

I keep hearing that Jeff guy is pretty keen too.....
Personally, I'd like to take the master level test as kind of a just curious type of thing..... I know the basic normal MECP test was a joke (actually found 2 things that could be answered wrong, yet still be right.... but that is looking at them from a non 12V perspective :-) )
