hi, i just got a prostart auto starter for my girlfriends 94 sundance. anyone ever done this. looks pretty simle but ive never done it. where are the key connection points? do i access these directly in the ignition in the steering column? or do i splice into somewhere else.

The connections are made under the drivers side dash.  If this is your first install, it will be helpful to read the basic connection section,door lock section,and the relay section on this web site.  It would also be helpful to have a volt meter and know how to use it.  Remote starts are not extremly hard but they do require a bit of knowlege about the vehicle and automotive electrical systems.  You should be fine.  Take your time and ask questions on this site if you have any.  There are alot of helpful people here waiting to help you.  Brian

The Prostart's that I have installed are not very good. Most of them didn't program properly and had to be sent in for a replacememnt brain. Just thought I'd let you know this before you start.

I've also had trouble with them, there remotes wear out quickly
