I currently am experiencing a random issue of having no sound coming from a fully functional head unit when I start the car.  This occurs on either of two HU's, as I initially thought the HU was bad and purshaed a new one.  Once I completely disconnect the HU harness and reconnect, either will produce sound until some random time in the future, when I start the car and have no sound. I would like some direction in where to start tracking this down, for as you can tell I am a car audio novice and lost.  Car is an 89 Prelude SI.  Please help the old guy.

sounds like on of your speakers are shorted out. Take a meter and check all eight speaker connections and make sure you don't have any ground present when radio is off. Aslo check your power anti lead as well............Bailey

Reloacte the ground wire, the ignition turn on wire & the constant wire to another source. Post your results.
