I have a 2000 Blazer with On-Star (not activated)  The system works, I just did not sign up for the service.  I wanted to use the cell phone feature with this system and was told it is not available.  It would seem like there should be a simple way to wire the microphone and speaker ( located in the headliner) from the On-Star system to a 1/8 jack similar to the one in my Motorola V60c cell phone.  I have a Jabar earpiece/microphone with a 1/8 type standard jack that works great, but it would be nice to be wire free and use my phone like a hands free system.  Can I buy a 1/8 male jack with the required wires to connect to the On/Star speaker/microphone?  Any suggestions on how to do this? or any other suggestions?
Thanks pjb

I recently added my '05 Escalade as a second phone to my existing Verizon account.  It's only an additional $10.00 per month.  Check with them to see if your 2000 Blazer's phone is compatible.  Even if you don't have a Verizon account, it may reason enough to switch.
