Hi all, I've searched everywhere and called every car security place and can't figure this out. I had an viper 5901 installed awhile back in my car and it worked great, when I would remote start at night my parking lights would come onand then when I unlocked the car the headlights would flash 3 times, well recently the alarm had to be reinstalled and now when I remote start my car my headlights stay on and I park on a busy street so it blinds people because I have bright lights, I called the installer and they said they have no clue how to get it back to the way it was before. :( any suggestions?? Or places to take it too? Thanks in advance and sorry if this was posted before, I'm on my phone and can't search.
Again my car is a 2004 Pontiac Grand AM GT

I am not at all familiar with your alarm/remote start unit.  But it seems to me that they connected your Ground out While Running wire to the headlight relay instead of the parking light relay.

So how do I get my headlights to stay off when I remote start? And flash when I unlock?

Connect the Light flash output wire to the headlights.  Connect the Ground While Running (GWR) wire to a relay that powers your parking lights.

When you say it was reinstalled, was it reinstalled into the same exact vehicle in which it was previously installed?

So parking lights will flash when I just unlock and lock it, but when it's remote started the headlights will flash?

Tell your installer that you want the headlights connected to the light flash circuit.  Tell him that you want the GWR wire to activate the parking lights.
