I'm adding a second set of neons on a Hyundai Tiberon.  The neons are are a simple 2 wire hook up 12v positive and ground with no distribution block or control box.  Would there be any issues if I spliced into the set  for positive/ground that is already hooked up?

If you have any suggestions let me know.

you should be ok, where are you thinking about splicing it?...under the car near the other neons?...make sure if you do that, you use a connecter with heat shrink...I would even double up the heat shrink and even put some wire loom over the splice just for a little extra safety....

also what size fuse are you currently using?

Thanks for your response!  Yes, under the car near the other neons.  I'm going to solder the connection and heat shrink and will take your advice on doubling the heat shrink plus adding some wire loom.

I used the supplied 8 amp for the first set but plan on upgrading to a 20 amp for the additional current load.

maybe try a 15amp fuse see that should work for you....Im not really sure on how many amps they pull, I wouldnt think very much though....

but you should be ok with a 20amp also...good luck with everything

Does your underbody kit include an outboard transformer. I have put in a couple of neon kits and they all had outboard transformers. I dont know how an outboard transformer would react with the extra load of a second set of lights. If they dont have an outboard transformer than ignore everything I say.

They have electronic transformers built into each tube.  Let me know what you think.
