I am going to install a 2000 watt RMS system into a 1999 Corvette C5. Two questions:

1. Where to connect ground. Several people have reccomended going to the battery for ground, because there is lack of decent grounding places.

2. Alternator. Has anyone put in an alternator that fits, that will support 200+ amps.

1. Try to make sure that your ground is no more than 3 feet from the amp or distribution block

2. Sorry, can't help you there

As far as the alternator goes I have never upgraded one in a vette but if you contact these companies im sure they can help you. http://www.wranglernw.com  http://www.mralternator.com  I have bought high out put alternators from both companies and have had good experiences with both of them.
