Hi guys, I have a year old Arc Audio FD4100 which suddenly turned off on me 2 months ago. After sending it into Arc, the techs did a printout and said the amp was fine. I reinstalled it into my car, and had glorious music for roughly 2 hours, and then the amp turned off again. The amp was cold to the touch, and when the switched 12+ was on, the amp's internal fan could be heard running for a few seconds, then switch off, and the blue LED on the FD4100 would blink once. I've searched all over the web and I have yet to determine if this is Arc's protect mode (fan on-off and single blue led blink). Is there anyone else that has experience with Arc amps and them going into a similar state?

If you have an AGU type fuse anywhere in the power path of the amp, you need to replace the fuse. Using a volt meter you need to turn the radio on and verify that you have 12 volts on power and remote. When checking this, connect the black meter lead to the ground terminal of the amp, not to the chassis of the car.
