a while ago I did something really dumb when I was doing a 4-channel amp integration with the factory premium (not mach) system in a 01 mustang.  I friggin cut the amp plugs off!...don't askford premium sound amp plugs -- posted image.  I thought I had kept them in my box just in case, but I can't find them.

Anyways, customer comes back and now wants everything back to the way it was and we're supposed to do this as part of the warranty, but to do that I have to re-integrate the factory amp.  Only way to do this is to get those plugs for the amp.  I've already gone to a couple of junkyards, if I could just find ANY mustang I'd just snip the plugs off and be on my way, but not many mustangs find their way into the junkyards around here.  Maybe a different model ford might have the plugs, but so far that hasn't proven successful either.

The plugs are both female plugs, one of them is a 14-pin connector that would plug in to this, and the other one is a 8-pin connector that would plug in to  would plug in to this.

Only way thus far that I've been able to find the plugs was from a company that I somehow found online, that sells replacement factory amp kits.  This includes the amp and both plugs and associated wiring.  But it's $225!!!  I don't even need all the replacement wires OR the factory amp, just those stupid little plugs.  It's oem equipment so the dealer would try to sell me the same thing, but prolly for more money.

Anyone seen a recent mustang in a junk yard anywhere? hahaha or anyone have any other ideas?  thanks yall.

I feel your pain I found one for a 1990 on eBay but don’t know if it has the same connector http:///.com/ebaymotors/dll?ViewItem&item=2406858600&category=6775 that’s going to be a hard one to get since it’s such a late model car.

I completely forgot about ebay!  Thanks for the idea, and for the mustangworld link.  If I don't find anything online I may just end up trying to go to some more junkyards...I also was thinking that maybe the same plugs might be on mustangs that are a lil bit older? (98s-00s?)  Or did they switch to new plugs starting with the 01 models?  It's so annoying cuz I really only need the actual plastic plug and maybe an inch of wire running to each pin, and yet I'd have to buy the whole amp kit for $225 bucks in order to get both plugs. oh well, live and learn.  Thanks again for the info.

I think they changed it in 01 but not 100% sure. Hope you have success in finding the plug and I will keep my eyes open.

Try the CPONYGO forums as well. You could also try Mustang Parts Specialities, Inc. I've found a few hard to find items from them before
