I have 95 Impala SS i recently purchased a set of Boston Acoustics 6.5 component for my front speakers.  I was wondering if it would be worth the time and money to make a fiberglass enclosure to fit into the door.  Would this help produce better mid bass than just mounting them in the door basically free air.  I have speakers in there now and i get no such mid bass out of them.

get some dynamat and seal off the door panel . you should even consider getting some sound deadnign spray even rubberized undercoating will work shhot the inside of your door panel inside of it just make sure  your windopws rolled up when doin this please, then add the dynamt it does make a difference, i too had a ss impala/hadjbl 6.5 components in the fronts thats all i did..
