Good morning all. Here's a brain buster someone might have an answer for. I recently purchased 4) Clarion 8" subs that were used in thieir amplified subwoofer kits. Madisound Speakers had the raw drivers for sale at a ridiculous price so I picked them up more out of curiosity than anything else. So now I have these drivers and am preparing to build a cabinet, only one problem... no parameters for the drivers. Clarion has nothing on their web nor can anyone at Clarion tech find any reference material. Here's what I know

Drivers are poly cones with 1" butyl surround, the kits were ported cabinets, (if you want to call them cabinets), xmax measures right at 9mm and the drivers are 2 ohm. Without the other parameters I'm struggling a bit to come up with Vb, port diameter & length, etc.

I want to use them in a 2500HD in a wedge style cabinet, (1 cu ft max), paralleling each pair then series the pairs for 2 ohm total on a Fosgate 325.1 Obviously I'm not looking for SPL, (I'm an old guy), just decent bottom end. I have other drivers I could use, (Fosgate P1 10's, Emminence 10" DVCs, etc.), but I'd like to try the Clarions just for fun. Any suggestions?

My favorite customer questions of all time... "Hey man, how many watts do them speakers throw"? and "Yeah, but what's my price"?

Pick up a Woofer Tester from Parts Express and measure them.  I would suspect they are not all the same, for one thing...
