Ok, I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab that i am molding a double din Kenwood DDX812 into. I am wanting to get subs for under the rear seat and had a question about how they would sound. I am looking at the foxacoustic.com dual 12" box. It is a non divided dual 12 sealed box w/ 1.8c.f. sealed internal volume. Here is the link
http://www.foxacoustics.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DQC-212-S
The subs i am looking at the Kicker CompVX or the new SoloClassic. My question, in this size box which sub do you think would sound better. Im going to be running a JL 1000/1 or the Kicker 1000/1 amp...   Thanks for any assistance you can give me...

I would go with the kicker Comp VX subs they call for 2.0 c.f. sealed internal volume for a pair and your box is 1.8 so you could use polyfill and be ok.............the solclassic subs call for 2.5 c.f. sealed internal volume sealed for a pair.............with the box you mentioned the comp vx subs would be a better match.

The solo classics are made for small enclosures. Per Kicker specs, the CVX calls for 1.0 minimum sealer cu. ft. per sub. The SoloClassic calls for .88 minimum per sub... So for the pair, id be lookin about 2 cu. ft minimum for the CVX and about 1.76 minimum for the SoloClassics...

You would probably be even better off yet with a pair of 10s. They seem to do better in under the seat operation because you get better airspace to help them work more efficently. I have heard many of the same subs set up with 10s and 12s the 10s even seem to play  the bottom end better as well.
