2001 Maxima Bose Stereo

If I remove the bose head unit in a 2001 Nissan Maxima and install a after market head unit, will I lose the cruise control feature on the steering wheel? If so, how can I avoid this with a new head unit

I've never tested a cruise control after doing a radio install.....but I have done a few radio installs in Maximas like that, and you'd think if the cruise didn't work, the customers would have come back and complained. I don't think Nissan ties the factory radio into any of the car's other systems; that is mainly something found in newer GM cars. Of course, you'll still need a dash kit, wire harness, antenna adapter, and Bose interface---that's about $85 in parts, at least if you're paying full-sucker retail.
