Bridged Vs. Non?

What exactly are the differences in the two?  What do you gain with one over the other?  Thanks

briged gives you the maximum power out of the amp throught one channel. Non briged splits the power between the 2 channels. Example 600 watt amp 2 channel amp non briged 2x300, briged 1x600.
