amplifier

I currently run 2 12" re audio sr subs 4ohm dvc off of a memphis 500wattrms monoblock.I have them wired as if they were svc 4ohm to give them a 2ohm load.Wich would give them 250 watts rms per sub.I am thinking of buying a new amp capable of powering the subs 1200watts total(600watts per sub).Now my question(s) option A)Buy another 500 watt monoblock ,wire them one amp/one sub,with a 2ohm load.I then would be running three amps (2) 500x1/ (1)500x4. This is also the cheapest way that I have found but im not necessarily looking for cheapest. optionB) Buy a 2 channel 1200watts rms.Sell my memphis monoblock and wire them the same way as option A.This is the more expensive way but the simplest as far as install goes. Wich would you recommend? , What are the technical pros /cons of both setups? If I bought a 2 channel should I make sure its 1200watts rms @ 4ohms for better SQ and less work on the amp?thanks any other options are greatly appreciated.     -A vision without a plan is just a hallucination-

You have a 1 channel amp, if you have them wired to a 4 ohm configuration, the amp is seeing a 4 ohm load.  You are thinking about bridging a speaker on a 2 channel amp.  In that case, if you bridge  a 4 ohm driver on a stereo amplifier.  That is the same exact load as a 2 Ohm stereo load.   So I think that is where you are coming up with it is wired at 4 so it is seeing 2. 

Option 1 (parallel) = 2 ohm load Speakers wired in parallel Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 2 or 1 ohm mono Two 4 ohm SVC Speakers = 2 ohm load I have them wired like this currently so I am still getting a 4ohm load?-A vision without a plan is just a hallucination-

... except that you say in your first post they are DVC subs.  Check the Subwoofer Wiring Options link in the left hand column.Support the12volt.com

if you just use one coil on each sub then you reduce the power handling of each sub.  so just keep that in mind when you are looking for another amp to give them more power

that is just how they are wired,I would like to wire them using both vc on both subs that is why im asking about the amps in the first place.Should i buy a 1200 watt 2 channel or another monoblock to wire them using both vc's on both subs what is the best option?-A vision without a plan is just a hallucination-
