Ok im installing a new deck in a buddys car 94 Toyota Tercel do i need a antna extendor? and is it possible to get the wireing digram for it?

You do not need the antenna extention because it's not require.

Sometimes the antenna will be twisted around something behind the dash, and if you untangle it once the factory deck is removed, you'll get another 3 or 4 inches to work with. You don't need an extension unless it's gonna be impossible to plug in the antenna to the new aftermarket deck because it's too short. If you haven't cut the plugs off yet I'd use a wiring harness ( 70-1761)--much easier. If you do use a wiring diagram and hardwire the connections, make sure you always test the wires before making the connections.

It's not too late though... You can splice the connector back on if you left enough room, then get the harness that esmith69 recommended. It sounds stupid since it's already cut, but it will save you time if you ever sell the car, and you don't have to keep track of where you put that connector! All you have to do is replug the old headunit back in when you sell it. And speaking from experience, headunits are alot easier to keep track of than a small connector!

well it turned out better then i had hoped

although the deck is a pos and was all messed up it looks like it already had a harness so i dont even have to buy one the antenna IS long enough so dont have to buy that either this is turning out to be a good install

goign to actually install it tonight (15th) if any of u guys ever need my help i would be glad to just add me i love talking about stereos and cars n stuff like that aim=directed91 msn=csuderman@hotmail.com
