I have a 2004 cavalier with the optional stereo. I bought this car used and it seems like a nice radio and has many functions. my problem is when I select country, rock, and many other selections on my radio the bass goes crazy and it vibrates the whole car and sounds terrible. I have to put it in manual mode but that sounds very bland. I learned from this forum that I have an amp in my trunk. Do I need to replace the speakers or the amp?
i am an idiot

Is there a large box in the trunk with some large speakers in that box?
