anybody know what wire i can tap to have an aftermarket radio shut off when door is opened rather than ignition being turned off?

as far as i know there is not wire you can tap to have this function. the factory radio is data controlled on/off and the only way you keep this function is with the adapter/integration harness.
you can use relays to add this function but you will need to have some knowledge of relay wiring and finding and testing wires in cars. i think the relay diagram is in the relay section of this website and is labeled "RAP shut down"

HERE is the page you use if your truck has a positive door trigger. there is a separate diagram if your truck has a negative door trigger.
