I have new component speakers kenwood Kfc-P709Ps they have in-line crossovers on the speaker cables.. I was just thinking so how do I wire the amp then to the speakers? Won't I need something like a piggy back quick connect?

hi,
the signal from the amplifier connects directly to the woofer of the Kenwood components. the inline crossover is only for the tweeter. it can be connected directly to the woofer if both drivers are installed in the same location (door). did you read the manual?

Ok I got it, I assume the necessary quick connects will be in a amp wiring kit?

the inline crossovers, as supplied, should have connectors to mate each side to their respective driver. as for the connection to the woofer driver from the amp, not sure if the amp kit will. may require a stop to auto parts, hardware, or electronics store. one might solder the wire directly to the speaker terminals though.

True you could always do it that way as well, I was trying to keep both amps in the same location but since I will only be amp'ing the front speakers I was wondering if the sound would sound uneven?

the amp kit wont have quick connects for your speakers. if the wires of the crossover dont have connectors on them already then you will have to buy some if you want them to disconnect easily but they are meant to be hardwired together if there are no connectors attached already.

Well the crossover is in the middle of the wire connections under a heatshrink wrap, each end has the connections, like Ween said above I would just disconnect the factory connection to the speaker and connect the amp direct to the speaker like that.
