I'm replacing a Bazooka Tube with a Kicker Solo-Baric 8" L5 and a Alpine M200.  Is the amp suffiecient enough to power the kicker, it is in a .35 cubic foot box, or somwehere around that.  I don't need crazy sound...just some bass, like I had with my Bazooka.  Also, is it better to have it in 2ohm or 4 ohms, and how do I know which one is which, or how do I set it up like that?

Thanks.

I would suggest that you look at an Alpine M300 it’s about $50 more than the M200 but a better match for your sub (300 watts vs. 200). As far as 2 or 4 ohm for either amp above you would want to get the 4 ohm model, and wire it in parallel which will give the amp a 2 ohm load. Now you can tell the difference between the two by the end number the 4ohm is S8L54 and the 2 ohm is S8L52. As far as the enclosure volume goes I would recommend .50 cu/ft sealed.
