Im trying to find the best way to wire up 4 JL audio W3v2-D4's on a JL audio mono amp. Right now this guy is running them on a 500.1 but he is purchasing the 1000.1 today. The subs are bridged down and series across right now. So there is 1 wire connected from the positive of one coil to the negative of the other and then they are series throughout the box. Is there a better way to do it?  Any help is appreciated

Best way is gonna be to wire up each sub's voice coils in series, effectively giving each sub an 8 ohm total impedence. Then you hook all 4 of them up via parallel wiring, for a single 2 ohm load on the amp.  I couldn't really tell from your description if  or not that's how you already have it.  Really there's only two ways to hook up these subs-- this diagram should help you out.  I'd recommend following the the one on the top (2 ohm load).  That's gonna let you get the most power possible out of the amp.

I agree with esmith69. Use the diagram for a 2ohm load to get the most out of the amp and four 4ohm DVC's
