Just a couple of questions - how do I take the dash cover off my 96 grand am to get at the stereo and also can an aftermarket stereo (pioneer deh-p6300) be set up to work with the factory radio control buttons on the steering wheel?

thanks

I believe the PAC steering wheel adapter will work but you might want to email Crutchfield or PAC to verify this first.

Remember for this vehicle you need a dash kit and an antenna adapter in adddition to the standard GM harness.  Usually they have the dash removal instructions included in a lil book inside the package for the dash kit, but if not this should help:

1)remove 2 screws from dash bezel above instrument cluster/gauges

2)remove 2 screws from the back of the deep storage pocket below the radio

3)Pull out on the instrument/radio trim panel to release the snap clips; unplug any wiring connectors and move the panel out of the way

4)remove three 7mm screws holding in the radio; unplug radio and antenna and remove radio
