I am itching to replace my factory head unit in my 2002 trailblazer with onstar.  What is the best way to interface an aftermarket head unit with the onstar system?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No, It is not a bose system.  But it is class 2 wiring as the door chimes come thru the speakers.

Get a OnStar bypass module as well as the Databus bypass module. This will help retain the OnStar and also will get rid of the OEM deck from the vehicle instead of having to have the OEM deck still in the truck somewhere. You can get these modules from anywhere that sells Metra or Ventura products.
