I'm looking into a single sub system for one of my mates. He is currently running a Cadence z1000 amp (http://www.cadencesound.com/action.lasso?-Database=Products&-Table=WEB&-ResponseAny=amplifiers_detail.html&-token.series=&-token.description=Mono%20Block&-KeyField=ID&-KeyValue=210&-search)
I was learning more towards either eclipse or maybe infinity. Looking at the Eclipse 87101DVC or the SW8102DVC. Otherwise a KAPPA PERFECT10.1D. Any opinions on what i should suggest to him. (will worry about the prices on them later)

Sorry forgot one of the eclipse subs. SW6103DVC. Might have to go for that model in case of prices.

The SW8102DVC is an awesome sub it will put out as much bass as 2 or more subs due to its huge excursion 1.20" each way. Not to mention the excellent sound quality they will put out. I would highly suggest the SW8102DVC. As far as the other 2 Eclipses go I really don’t have any experience with them to give an opinion. I run (2) SW9122's and wouldn’t trade them for anything. However they are power hungry you should have a little more than 400 watts if you want to move that sub. As far as the Kappa’s go The Eclipse SW8102DVC will defiantly out perform them in both sq and spl.

I don’t know about Australia but here in the states you can find them for $200-$250. You might want to try eBay. But beware Eclipse dose not provide a warrantee if you do not buy from an authorized dealer.

Yeah i can't remember the exact price but i think they go for around $600 over here which is crazy! I've sometimes thought about ordering from over in the states and getting it shipped over to save a couple of hundred. But then there is the thing of warrantee which always comes into it. Thanks very much for your help.
