ok so i have an 03 f150 and i need an install kit for my full din cd player AND my 1/2 din alpine eq.  For some reason, not one single shop around here has anything that will work.  whats the deal with that??...the metra kit has a built in pocket, that i suppose you could hack off, but when i put a this cd player in my 01 model f150 i had a kit that worked. unfortunantly, when some rat bastards tried to steal my stereo, they broke the kit and i cant use it anymore.  does anyone know what kit i can use to get this overwith??...I dont think the previous kit i had was "vehicle specific" cuz i had to pop rivet the kit to the trim bezel, but even that is fine with me....i just need the darn piece of plastic that is holding me back.  I dont want to have to hack up a kit tho (unless a lasst resort)

someone shoot me some ideas or part numbers or something!

You could put it in the arm rest..or glove compartment.. or get another kit to put in there.

you try to fix the plastic?

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

yeah....i got a scosche kit and hacked on it a little......too much modification was necessary to remove the pocket opening, and even then, the fit of the 1/2 din eq was only so so in the opening...it just aint big enough!

you could take it to a audio installer and either have them do it....or get you the parts that you need.

I did some searching but turned up nothing. Having it installed at a local shop would be the easiest thing to do. They could probably custom mount it and make a trim plate for the 2 and make it look real nice.
