1997 Montero Sport with Infinity system

I have a 1997 Montero Sport with the Infinity system. Do I connect a rca converter into the factory amp or at the head unit of the vechicle???

Any help will be appreciated

do you mean a line out converter? Are you hooking up sub system? Why do you want a converter?

yes i mean line out converter, yeah i'm hooking up an amp and 1 sub, i want the converter to get a signal for my rca's.
