Help asap! CD player install

wats up guys. im pretty experienced w/ installations on aftermarket decks, but for some reason i can't get it working in my friends 89 volvo 240 dl. yea its a pos... but anyway, i hook up the wiring just as this sheet says on www.installdr.com. when i plug the harness into the cd player, the fuse blows..... why?   we've went through about 6 fuses.... we don't know why its doing this... if the wiring is wrong, which ones would they be. please help cause my friend's gonna kill me. any insights will be greatly appreciated....

You probably have a bad connection somewhere. Plus you can't always trust a diagram you find somewhere.  That could for a different year volvo 240.  I take it that the car doesn't have the factory harness anymore?  I suggest getting a Digital multimeter and checking the wires for the constant 12 volt and switched ACC 12 volt.

You always disconnect the power b4 you work with anything electric.

Try going somewhere else for power instead of the radio wiring harness. Also do this for the ground. Some of those European vehicles have some weird wiring schematics and requires a DMM to locate the correct wires.
