I have a Sony XM-D1000P5  on the way and I am not quit understanding the instructions on crutchfeilds web site to hook it up, they say I should use a 150amp fuse off the battery and I just dont have a whole lot of experience hooking systems up, I am really interested in car stereos and installs just not experience any advice out there??

with sony all you pay for is the name they have no quality in car audio. if this is your first install and you have no clue and are not mechanically enclined you may want to take it to an installer and learn from what they do then improve it.

For starters if you want to do it yourself find a shop that will alow you to watch them do an install or at least give you a break down on how to do an install try to get them to give you a visual demonstration.  Once you have an idea on how to do it just give it a shot.  As you will find out there are many experts that visit this website and are willing to give you advice.
