Certification?

experience is the only true cerification. anyone can tell you that. you can read something from a book all day but you realy dont know how it works untill you put it to use. go around to local shops and ask if they need any help on the weekends and learn all you can from the people that know how to do it. also research all different types of audio exuipment. from enclosures to crossovers and everything inbetween.

well i dont know if theres a school in the atlanta area but i know that metro electronics has a home study thats pretty good it HAS TAPES AND BOOKS IT HAS THE MECP STUDY GUIDE THAT WILL QUICKLY BECOME YOUR BEST FRIENSD IT IS A GREAT INFORMATIONAL BOOK THAT EVERY INSTALLER SHOULD HAVE  OR AT LEAST READ BEFORE THE WEB SITE IS METRO-AUTO.COM THEY HAVE ALL THE INFO ON THE SITE FOR THE HOME STUDY DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU WANT T O LEARN SO KEEP PRACTICING AND DEFINITTLY YOU WILL DO GOOD. GOOD LUCK OH YEAH THEY ALSO GIVE YOU PROJECTS TO DO TO GET BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT YOU WILL ENCOUNTER AS AN INSTALLERAGAIN GOOD LUCK

well as for the message i posted earlier if you wer eto pass that home study you would trully be mecp certified natonwide being that upon completion you will take the mecp installer level exan which will be reputible and if you dont read up on the test you will not pass it especially if you are new whith mobile electronics so if someone was new to the field needed a lot of info on basics and more and was not near a school then home study is nice as for taking the test by itself if he was niot ready to pass the test he would need the books for info which would be included as for mr i took that test and i am mecp certified so thats all i have to say thanks
