Capacitor installation help

hiya all. iv just bought a Rockford Fosgate Capacitor and its telling me to charge it up using a charge card before installation. Only problem i see is, won't this be a shock risk if i touch the two terminals accidentaly afta charging it?Please help cos i'm not sure if this is something i should be aware of!!

just be carful about the terminals, just dont ground out, same concepts as when working with any electric. if you want you can get a piece of paper and rubber band it around the ground terminal until your ready to ground the cap.

like Ketel said, just be VERY careful... i made the mistake of touching them one time and its a very scary experience.  They hold alot of power

Just because a capacitor can blow up, there's no reason to be scared Capacitor installation help -- posted image.
Don't charge the cap until you're ready to use it. Just like other electrical storage devices, the cap's charge will dissipate over time. Watch the terminals when you're installing/storing it and you'll be fine.
