wiring amp/sub

hi fellas need help wiring this amp and subwoofer. I get cofused with mono and stereo and dvc's. Thanks

250w x 2 @ 2 ohms(RMS)

500w x 1 @ 4 ohms BRIDGED(RMS)

yeah it it one sub.

I had an idea  that amp was not compatible. It is what they sold my friend at a shop.

if it is runs at 8 ohm it will loose power to sub right?

it is never good/right to wire each voice coil independent right( one on each channel)?

If you run the amp in stereo mode, one channel to each 4-ohm voice coil, you'll have the same power as if you wired the two voice coils in series for an 8-ohm load and ran the amp in bridged mono mode.  Between these two choices, the mono choice to the 8-ohm load is the better choice, since you don't have to worry about the signals to the two voice coils being slightly different.

Running at 8 ohms, it will loose half its power, so yes. 

It is ok to run each coil on its own sub, but you have to make sure that the signal on each channel is EXACTLY the same ( get creative with Y splitters on your RCA's ), or else you could damage it, so this is not recommended ( you are doing it at your own risk ).

I still suggest getting another sub, or selling that one, and getting a dual 2 ohm if you just want one thumper.
