Bass Blocker

Hi All,

     I want to install a Q Power bass blocker between a jvc head unit and a 4" jvc 2 way speaker.   My queation is which wire on the bass blocker is positive and which is negative?  One is green and one is green w/red stripe.  Does it matter?

     I guess I shoud clarify.  This bass blocker has the green and green w/red going in one side and coming out the other, four wires in all.  I am running this off of the head unit, no amp.

     X-over point 5000Hz

     X-over slope 12dB

The green is probobly the negative and the green with a red stripe should be positive. Hope this helps.

Ah, if it is a 12db/octave crossover, then yes, it will have pos/neg on both sides.  It didn't come with any instructions?  Use customsuburb's suggestion above, and if it doesn't seem to work, switch the leads the other way around.

At 5000Hz crossover point, you will turn your speakers into tweeters.  You'll get no bass and very little mids out of them at that X-ove point.  It's no probelm, as long as you uinderstand that's what you'll get.

And by the way, running off your HU means your amp is the one inside the HU.  :)
