I have a 2002 tundra and I recently installed a Blaupunkt head unit and whenever the engine is on or lights are on, there is a buzzing noise coming out of the speakers when the stereo is on. I know the car has a factory amp, but when the factory stereo is plugged in, it doesn't buzz, but with any aftermarket unit, it buzzes. I used a kit, but ripped all the wires out of it and used shield wires, but it makes noise no matter what. I even redid the ground. I was just wondering if there is any electronics that can kill the noise because no tricks seem to work

Are you still tryng to use the OEM amplifiers or did you bypass them?  Did you ground your new HU using hte car's wiring or did you run a new ground for it?  Sounds to me like you are overpowering OEM amplifiers that should be bypassed, and/or your ground is bad.

Sounds like DYohn is right on the money.  The problem is with the factory amplifier.  I say bypass it all together.  Either run new wires to the speakers, or jumper the factory amp's inputs directly to its outputs.  Unplug the amp harnesses of course.buzzing noise when lights on and when eng -- posted image.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Hey, thanks guys, that did the trick, now I'll just buy a 4-input amp for the speakers and use an aftermarket amp. Thanks
