hooking up 3 amps

Ok, this is probably a stupid question, but oh well.. I don't know how to do this.. so i'm asking the experts lol

I have a newer Kenwood deck, forgot the model #. Has 3 preouts.. front.. rear.. sub. I have 3 amps, and 3 subs. Gonna hook each amp to a sub. The amps don't have audio outputs, only inputs. So, question is.. how do I hook up 3 amps?. Some people tell me to take the R & L sub preout coming from the deck.. and get 6 Y adapters.. and y out 3 ways to hook up the RCA's to each of the 3 amps. Some people tell me to not do that because i'd lose alot of signal loss doing that, which I agree with. So, do I need a crossover, or an eq?.. or anything like that?. If so, have any advice on which brands/models?. Or, would the Y adapters be the answer?.

Also.. I have a cap as well..can I run 3 power leads directly from the out post of the cap?.. or should the out of the cap run to a power distribution block first, and then amps/eq/crossovers and whatever else get powered out of that?.

Get a 3 or 4 position fused distibution block and let the cap run feed into the block. Just keep the block as close to the amps as possible (close in terms of wire length).

As for splitting the preout. Y adaptors can work IF you put a linedriver on each line after the Y. You can also find multiple output linedrivers that will do exactly what you are needing. I think Phoenix Gold still builds one, and Audio Control might also, although I would have to research it to find out for sure.

Ask yourself though if you really need all 3 amps. Perhaps there is a way to get the output you want with only one amp, or maybe a different enclosure design that is more efficient will work. Just some ideas, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

So buying the Matrix 6 would do would I need?. I can connect the sub preouts from the deck to the matrix, and have 3 outputs.. one to each of the 3 bass amps?. I mean, I see setups with more then 2 amps all the time for bass!. I would have thought I would have gotten more responses!

So the Matrix 6 is what I need?. Any other brands/models out there with one input to go to 3 outs?.
