I have an 84 ford f150 pickup, I just installed a dual cd reciever and I can't get the son of a gun to keep memory. The only wires I can find in my dash(the old owner hacked all the wires) are a yellow/lt.green which I'm assuming is a switched 12volt and a black which I'm also assuming is ground. On the back of the deck there is a yellow  wire and a red  wire... what am I doing wrong? I have the yellow wire to my fusebox and the red wire hooked to the yellow,I oringinally had the red to the fusebox and the yellow to the yellow..same results no memory

Never  ever assume that a black wire is ground, especially on the vehicle side of the harness. Try this for your wiring.

A Right Rear Spkr (-) Blue Purple w/ Black Stripe

B Right Rear Spkr (+) White w/ Blue Stripe Purple

C Right Front Spkr (-) White Gray w/ Black Stripe

D Right Front Spkr (+) Blue w/ White Stripe Gray

E Left Rear Spkr (-) Red w/ Blue Stripe Green w/ Black Stripe

F Left Rear Spkr (+) White w/ Blue Stripe Green

G Left Front Spkr (-) Blue w/ Orange Stripe White w/ Black Stripe

H Left Front Spkr (+) Purple White

K Ground Wire Black Black

M Dash Light Dimmer Wire Orange (if available)

N +12 Volt Ignition Wire Blue w/ Black Stripe Red

P +12 Volt Battery Wire Blue w/ Red Stripe Yellow

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Your yellow wire on your Dual player has to go to a wire in the fusebox that has power at all times. The wire you have it on now does not. Check your fuse box with a meter for a fuse or female receptacle  that is hot at all times.
