I don't know if anybody remembers, but 2 weeks ago I posted a topic about an Eclipse 5303 used head unit that didn't put out sound, or whose faceplate didn't retract when the button was pushed.  I opened 'er up, and unassembled and reassembled the entire unit, going as far as replacing a capacitor.  All problems but my main one were fixed:   The head unit still doesnt put out sound.  I have an amplifier that works perfectly, so its just the RCA outputs....  how can I test and repair the problem?

I am a dealer with a great amount of knowledge, but rubbing my crystal ball to see what your problem is reveals that I do not know the fine inner workings of circuits. I would head into a service shop to see if the problem can be identified. I really think that you have pretty much covered all bases with this cd player.

I WILL NOT GIVE UP!!!!   haha...
I can tell you this,  the board looked perfect... I took it under a magnified table lamp, and scanned the entire thing, front and back.  There were no cracks or apparent failure marks, like burned areas.  The only thing I can think about is 1:   If the capacitor was faulty, would it give out sound, or power up?
2:  I know eclipse has a "RESET" button on it.....would that button have any affect on my setup?

Push it in and let's find out. It is a microprocessor reset.
