Sony amps???

I just reas a review of some sony sub and a guy said that Sony only works with Sony so you HAVE to buy a sony amp.. what the heck does this mean?

Is that even remotely true?

That way they will both blow at the same time silly!!   You can get new subs and amps under waranty monthly, aint it great.

Sony made a good name for themselves with home audio but car audio line is absolute crap

if its what he can afford, then its what he can afford.   But in my opinion, , you can get the cheepst products from a good company like alpine, and they will cost the same as sony, , but blow them away.

So "Wattage"  check out your well known brands, and look at there entry level lines, they will probably hit your price mark, and impress the heck outa you.
