I have a 98 5.9 limited with the infinity gold system. My driver's front door speaker is on its way out, and I'm looking for the exact fit speaker to replace it with. Crutchfield told me that the Infinity Kappa 6 3/4" 652.5i speakers won't work because the basket is too big. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any recommended speakers? Thanks a lot,
Tyler

I have a 98 GC Laredo and use the q-logic kick panels. Granted they only hold a 5 1/4" componet set, they sound awesome. I got away from the door speakers because anytime someone is riding up front, it blocked alot of the passenger side sound. You can pick up a set for under $100 on Ebay.

But would those fit? Aren't they only 5 1/4", when I need 6 1/2 or 3/4"?

You get a free adaptor from crutchfield.com so they would fit in your 6 3/4" opening.

6 1/2 is what you want to used.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.98 Grand Cherokee 6 3/4''s? -- posted image.

Any recommendations? Would you recommend finding some with the triagular bolt pattern so I don't have to use an adapter? If so, any suggestions? Thanks a lot

Just buy the 5.25" off of crutchfield and they'll throw in a free adaptor to make it fit. It should work fine.
