Hello everyone,

Got this head unit, as above got all the wiring from the 12Volt's database for an 93 honda civic, and made the appropriate connections.

The radio works mechanically, displays, and does all the functions as per the manual, but unfortunately I cannot get any sound out of it. "YES" I DO HAVE THE SPEAKERS WIRED PROPERLY. Someone had mention there might be an Pre-amp somewhere in the car; not to my knowledge though, I took the original Honda radio out of the car.

Anyone can shed some light on this would appreciate this, or E_MAIL @ woo1@sympatico.ca

WITH THANKS

WAYNE.

Hey Wayne, was this a new head unit ? Sounds like the speaker output's on the unit are burned out.

You could possibly have a speaker grounding out also.  The new HU go into protection mode if you have a grounded out speaker.  Disconnect all of your speakers, turn your HU on and connect them one at a time once the HU shuts off, you've found the bad speaker, or if you have a DMM, test each speaker for grounding.
Do it right the first time
