deck won't fit in 90 cadillac brougham

the A/C duct is directly behind the stock radio position, and it's not deep enough to fit an aftermarket deck. im just wonderin what anybody might have done to get around this problem. it's less than an inch short, i was thinking of sutting out 2 corners in the duct and covering it with some good tape or sealing it someway to allow the corners of the deck which are hitting to go right into it.

I wouldn't do that. You might try to extend the deck outwards from the dash to make it fit.

i thought of that but i didnt want to cuz i was putting my switches in the same place, below the deck. but i may have to relocate them.
