I just brought a couple of Eclipse 87121.8   12"  subwoofers for my 94 Civic.  I was wondering if I could get away with using just one of the in a boxand use the other in my Cherokee.  If so,  what type box would give me more bass response and DBs?  Would I need a lot of power from my amp?

These subs work best in a sealed box, if I remember right it is about 1.5 cu.ft. They are a 2001 model subwoofer. Being that they are 8 ohm you will need a larger than normal amp if you are going to split them up and use one in each vehicle.  I would not look for any amazing db output from these subs, especially being 8 ohm subs. If I remember correct they can handle about 250 w rms. Thus you will need an amp double this size to drive the 8 ohm version properly without risk of clipping the amplifier while trying to get as much sound as you can out of the sub. I'll look around for some info on this old sub and see what I can find for you.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
