My friend has a 2001 Chevy Extreme and would like to put subs in the cab. I know I will need to use a LOC for the RCA's, but he was wondering if we can still have all four stock speakers playing (along with the subs)?

yes, line level converters only tap signal from speaker leads

Agreed, the LOC just picks up the signal for the amp, but the stock speakers can remain connected. They will continue to work with the HU power.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
