I will tell you what I have and what I want to do then please give me the pros & cons. Pioneer DEH-P6400  HU, Pioneer GM-X862  760watt amp, Pioneer GM-H100 amp, KFC-W3005 12" sub, Pioneer 6x8 3 way door speakers for the rear and Pioneer mids and tweets for the front. I am thinking of running the mids and tweets off the HU, The sub off the 760watt amp, The rear 6x8's off the 100watt amp. I am not looking at winning a comp but do want a little thump along with volume. Thanks guys/girls great site you have here!!!!

I would run all of your door speakers from a 4 channel amp and push the sub with a 2 channel amp.  Amplifying the mids and tweets will give a nice crisp sound up front that won't be drowned out by rears and the subs.   The power from the HU alone can't compair to that of the amps..
Do it right the first time
