Im a newbee, if you will, to car audio installation. Accoding to the manuals, I have installed everything correctly. All the wires are color coded so it made everything pretty easy.  Im getting no sound at all but the cd player does power up and the cds do play. Im stumped on what it is that I did wrong. I have bought the correct harnest. I was thinking that connecting directly to the factory installed harnest would do the trick but Id rather not cut it.

My Honda Civic is the hatchback editon year model 95. I only have  2 front speakers, do I NOT connect the rear speaker wires? If anyone has done a install, and Im sure there are many, please help me out.

Thanx,

Was this a new CD player that you installed ? Try to re-install the OEM deck and see if there is sound coming from the OEM deck ? I know if there was sound before, you may have done something to the CD player to blow the speaker leads on the internal amp of the CD player. All that has to be done is the (-) and the (+)  speaker leads have to touch for a millisecond and you blow the leads from the deck.
