1992 Dodge Shadow stereo ideas

I was wondering if any one has done any thing extensive to a 1992 Dodge Shadow Hatchback. If so, could you please let me know because I really don't have any idea were to start. I already have a headunit fom a previous vehicle (it is a Poineer DEH-6500).Please help.

What's your goal?  Complete sound system, new brakes, what?  Consider the car a hatchback like a lot of cars.  It's got an alternator and a battery and places to put amps and speakers.  One doesn't have to have an intimate relationship with a Shadow to answer any questions you have about car audio systems.  So, fire away if you have a question.Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

For the time being I would like to put some sub(s) and an amplifier in it. I am planning on going to mobile dynamics after I finish my associates a local community college. I would like to make the sub(s) hidden I am not exactly sure how to go about that. Also I am more concerned about quality than db. What brand(perferably pioneer slim mounts)  and size(10 or 12 possibly 8s) should I go with? I would like almost full use of the hatchback after I install the sub(s). I would like to keep all possibilities open so cost is no matter.

I think you would be better building a false floor. With a 6 to 8 inch raised floor you can vey easily fit 1 or 2 10's or 12's and counter sink your amps. If you use a couple heavy duty grills then you can basically trow whatever you want in your trunk and not have a problem.
