I am installing an OEM Mitsubishi Infinity AM/FM/CD/Cass unit (MR 225577) into a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant ES. I am getting everything but the speakers to work. The OEM unit which was taken out was a AM/FM/Cass with CD controls only. Any idea what is wrong? Please help!!

Do you know if the new OEM player has internal amplifier ? Some OEM radios are only signal carriers to amplifiers that are located somewhere in the car. The old OEM radio is a self amplified system but the Infinity system may require an amp to power it.

Do you have extra wires that are not used. I'm not to sure about this vehicle, but you should find out if there is a factory amp in this vehicle.
