First year GM added XM stock

I have a 2002 trailblazer, non-bose, with on-star.  I was wondering if GM ever made a Stock CD player that included XM that could be swapped in. I really dont want to stick the factory radio under the seat to add a aftermarker radio, and the XM modulated ones sound bad. I also heard GM changed the data platform they used in 2003 or 2004 not really sure what that means, but from what I understand those newer radios are not interchangeable. Any info would be helpfull. If you have one with XM does it have 'XM' printed on the front  of the radio? Thanks!!!   Jim

You will also need the factory XM antenna because the factory and aftermarket antennas are completely different.  It''s more complicated than just swapping out HU.Do it right the first time

Soundgate makes a couple of interfaces that let you add aftermarket XM/Changers/Auxillary inputs to the factory radio - depending on the model of the factory radio. For example - PIOGM1 lets you add PIONEER's XM tuner, a 6 or 12 disc changer, an RCA audio input, or all three together - controlled thru the GM head unit.
