Need total help with system in 1983 320i Oh wait I have no system lol that is so funny.  But on the flip side I need a system.  You can read everything about me and my car here (My Car Info)

I have these speakers in the front and back stock places ( http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pioneer-4--x-6--Speakers--TSG4640R-/sem/rpsm/oid/87644/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do)

I have this stereo ( http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-In-Dash-CD-Player--CDX-F5700-/sem/rpsm/oid/87524/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do)

I have a debadged trunk.  Now I need boom I mean not the boom you hear across the street, talking about across the block.  I am talking about the boom boom (to play atleast some white tees or drop it like its hot).

I need everyones ideas to make this happen price is prob $500-$1500 if that is good.

I know I should read and learn bla bla bla, dont have time so please just help me!  Just like going to somewhere and them putting it in for high price, but just asking you guys.

So just give me all your ideas and let me know thanks much

Do you have the factory radio still in? is the radio facing up near the gear shift?. The bass can be tricky in those cars, some BMWs have metal between the trunk and backseat making bass transfer harder. The 4x6s are for the front or rear? both? have you considered a comp. set up front w/ a 4" and tweet up top? thats the way I went. You can usually cut the rear deck to put a larger speaker, at least a 5.25 or 6.5. let me know i'd be happy to put some more input.

I had a 86 528e. I worked on it all the time so I have some experience w/ bmws, some of my friends drive em too. When I mention the comp I was refering to a component set, or seperates. Unfortunatley these cars accoustic nightmares so do every thing possible to get good sound. The puny sound from the 4x6 are very disappointing. So when you use seperates it brings the sound up from the kick panels. you will have more control with the x-overs. As far the back goes I would strongly recomend cutting and installing some larger speakers. I had a jl 12wo w/ about 150w rms in a ported box. It was an ok set up however bass tansfer was terrible. So i cut the metal barrier out between the back seat and trunk. That made a small difference since I had a piece of MDF up for my amps. I eventually cut out the rear deck and used 6x9 grills to act as ports. I also upgrded bass later. As for you if looking to get some good low end, don't waste your time with cheap stuff. I tried the same thing and eventually wound up with expesnive stuff. If your into circuit city, you can find some good stuff there, hey i worked there for about two years.
