i have been on the phone for hours with alpine and nothing. i purchased the newest and top of the line alpine 9835, very cool deck but i have problems. my stock bose amp is still installed and my bose subwoofer is out. i have 2 12" infinity kappa perfects being pushed by the 1300 watt infinity reference amp. everything sounded great with my clarion pro audio deck but now that i have the alpine in, no bass!!!! everything turns on and is gettingpower but it seems my subs are being restricted of enough power to make them really move. they dont really move at all. the alpine guy told me on the wire harness to jump the blue wire to the blue/white and attach the remote turn n to that also. cd/ tuner all work but still no bass. i was messing with the wires myself and found my subs kicked on, but no cd sound. im confused and so isnt everyone i ask, please give me any advice and im hoping somone knows something to do so i can have my bass back again. thanks

I'd have to agree with the Alpine guy.  Some Alpine units have 2 remote turn on leads (blue/white), and both need to be hooked up to work properly.  The reason you have no sound on CD is because you've connected the blue wire (power antenna) to the amps.  You can jump them all together as was recommended, and you should be fine.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

thanks for the help, although right now i do have the cd working, my mistake during install. and i have both blue/white and blue connected to my remote for the subs amp. he said somthing about a 12volt relay but my buddies told me to just jump the remote on the amp to the power wire and if they got more juice than thats what i needed, but it didnt do a thing. isthere somthing messed up because of the bose system and how there wire are configured? i had absolutley no problems with my clarion but this alpine is somthing else.

is there a digram you can explain for me to make this all work. it has to be somthing simple since the amp is already on its just not pushing really any power to the subs will all the bass adjustments turned up.

I would not be jumping anything together. Separate the blue from the blue white and find out which one is the power antenna (probably blue) trigger and which is the remote on trigger (probably blue / white). Once you find out which wire is the remote on wire, ensure that it is hooked up to turn on the appropraite amplifiers. Next ensure that the amp for your subs is turned on when the Alpine in running on cd and am/fm. If it is not running then you have an issue with the remote on output from the cd player itself. Meter this line to be sure. If you still have no output, then there may be a menu in the Alpine that you must go into to turn on the subwoofer output or adjust the output levels on it.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

If the amp turns on, but no bass, , you need to go in the set up menu to turn the sub outs on, , normally from the factory they are set to on, , but ocationally thay come set off.  Read you manual too, , thats what its there for.
