Any one change the headunit in their 5 series BMW that came with the DSP headunit/amp and kept the factory amp and speakers..How did you do it?. The DSP uses an optical signal to the amp....Please help...

You rewire around the amp. It is not an optical signal to the amp, it is a digital signal carried on a digital co-axial cable.

Thanks for the help, But can you be more specific about the re-wiring. What do i re-wire? colors/location??  Please explain???
